Goal: Develop a magazine that encompasses the 17 United Nations Sustainability Goals, focusing on one particular goal at a local level.
Strategy: In creating this magazine, I carried out extensive research of the 17 UN Sustainability Goals before forming a "How Might We" question regarding facilitation of sustainable transportation in Calgary. I conducted interviews and desk research to understand the barriers that prevent people from engaging in cycling as a sustainable mode of transportation in Calgary, and what initiatives are in place to break down these barriers. I developed original written content and designed a cohesive brand identity that is carried throughout the magazine. I chose to name the magazine "Mold" because of the focus on influence of society through sustainable infrastructure as described in the feature. This project required skills in visual design, content management, expository writing, and brand development.
